We are introducing a one-on-one hands-on photography training service which covers the following modules:
- We start with training you on your camera so you can get comfortable with your camera's settings. Yes, we know many people do not like to move past Auto mode but you are missing out if you always stay on Auto Mode.
So, we help you learn about your camera's modes, dials and functions in a step-by-step "don't overwhelm me" format. For the past 10 years, we have delivered photography training that breaks down all the technicality so you can focus on getting the shot. We dig through the photography manuals, reviews, books, and magazines to deliver the bottom line of what you need to know. - How to take more appealing shots by working on your composition. Avoid taking boring pictures! Do you find yourself always placing the subject of your photo in the middle of the frame...well, in certain cases, that can be rather boring. People end-up flipping through your pictures without really looking at them. So, we share the principles of capturing photos that inspire others to say "oh wow" "interesting" "what a great shot" "cool, can you send that to me". You can take great pictures, even if you shoot in auto mode, but you need to know certain principles and rules that will help you capture captivating landscapes, portraits, and action shots.
- Learn how to shoot in challenging lighting conditions: low light and night shooting. All cameras perform well on beautiful sunny days or even on partly cloudy days but do you notice your camera struggles to capture the pictures you desire in low lighting conditions or when shooting at night? Perhaps, the camera does not want to focus on the subject you are trying to capture or it takes a long time to snap a picture. Well, the good news is with some adjustments and shooting techniques, your camera can perform very well in low light conditions. We have many tips to share with you!
- Learn how to capture action-based shots: running, playing sports, etc. Your camera is a speed demon--it can capture action in a fraction of a second. However, there are specific settings we will explore together to help you get the action shots you desire. In fact, as an exercise, we have you take an action shot of a person running and jumping. Your assignment will be to capture a sharp snapshot of him in mid-air. Don't think you can do it? You will! And, we will show you how easy it can be. Once you have the technique and camera settings down, you can capture your friend's volleyball game, capture a move at your kid's soccer game, and more.
- Photo editing and optimization: Photo editing can make your photos shine. Ofcourse, we help you take great pictures in the first place but we can also help you make them sparkle and, yes, fix-them-up. As much as we love photo editing on the computer, we would rather spend our day in the field. So, we have created a quick guide to photo optimization that will help you enhance your images while saving you time.
